The number of messengers in Brum has reached five, Critical Mass numbers have reached up to 40 and there are now a handful more fixies wobbling slowly down the side streets. The Birmingham shindig is finally ready for an intravenous injection of bicycle-orientated skullduggery. In the pipeline are an alleycat, roller race and the normal skids, sprints and track stands. There’ll even be prizes to get your thirsty mouths around. So watch out! But first, let us whet your appetite with a tantalising lick of our MSG-laced aspartme popsickle of a group ride. The fastest 8-miles you will ever do. The route is being finalised, a plan is being hatched. It will leave at 8.30pm from The Anchor, on Bradford St in Digbeth on Friday 7th September. For those of you on the ball, this is directly after the monthly Critical Mass and the ride starts from the Critical Mass’ finishing point. The group ride will get everyone back to The Anchor before the others have had a chance to get a second round in. Yowza!
